Community Cultural Center

In 2001 the ownership of the historic location of the old synagogue was returned to the Jewish community. In September 2008 with the support of philanthropist Gennady Borisovich Bogolyubov the Community charitable and cultural center and the city synagogue was opened (total area of 2,000 square meters). Its opening allowed to implement a wide range of community and cultural programs for different age groups within the Jewish Community Charitable and Cultural Center.

The doors of the Center are always open to the residents of the city, religious and secular members of the community.

The objectives of the Jewish Community Charitable and Cultural Centre project are as follows:

• raising of the Jewish national identity, a sense of belonging to the historical homeland - Israel;
• charitable help to the needy of the Jewish population of Dneprodzerzhinsk: pensioners, the disabled, orphans, children from dysfunctional or broken families as well as Jews who are in crisis;
• growth of self-identification of Jews and increasing the number of Jewish participants in the programs of the Dneprodzerzhinsk Jewish Community Center;
• upbringing and education of Jewish children and youth.

The main objective of the Jewish Community Cultural Center is the realization of social and community programs.

We are confident that the activities of the center will promote the spirit of tolerance, friendship and understanding which is so important for the prosperity and well-being of society.
