Community history
The Jewish community organizes all Jewish holidays in the city. Free or for a nominal fee everyone can attend these events: concerts of Jewish humor, Passover Seder, lighting a menorah at Hanukkah center, build a big sukka. Before each holiday Jewish literature is being distributed among the citizens. In addition the community is always ready to help organize weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Brit-milas or assist in the funeral.
At present, the community completes the repair of the synagogue (outdoor, roof and the second floor of the building). Then the building will be given to the evening school, because in the future the community plans to build a large Choral synagogue. Recently, the community was given in perpetuity to use the site on which to construct a new synagogue. The site is located in the heart of the city. In addition, the community plans to build a women's mikvah, kosher dining room, prayer hall, an auditorium for lectures, a kitchen with modern equipment, a large festive hall, as well as opening a kosher restaurant and shop.
