Rabbi of Kharkov Moises Moskovitz

 

The chief rabbi of Khar'kov and the Khar'kov region Moises Moskovitz was born on July 6 1964 in Karakas, Venezuela.

Education: higher spiritual. Primary education was obtained in Karakas. Studied in the yeshivas of Cleveland, Los-Angeles, Karakas, London and New-York.

Married on Miryam Voskovitz, has 11 children.

Since September 1990 Moises Moskovitz lives with his family in Khar’kov and is the rabbi of the Khar’kov community.

Moises Moskovitz made an invaluable contribution to the rebirth of the local community. The Choral Synagogue of Khar’kov was restored, Jewish kindergarten and school were established. Today the Khar’kov Jewish community is one of the most dynamically growing community not only in Ukraine, but also in the CIS.
