Rabbi of Cherkassy Dov Akselrot

 

r. Dov AkselrotThe chief rabbi of the Cherkassy region Dov Akserot was born on Heshvan 22 5734 (November 6, 1974) in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

In 1981 he moved with his parents to Chaifa and studied there in heder untill 1987.

In 1987 he had BarMitzva and entered the Achaim Tmimim Chabad Yeshiva in Rishon Le Zion, Israel.

In 1989 he enterd the Tomchey Tmimim yeshiva in Kfar Chabad and studied there until 1993.

In September 1993 he went to New York to study in the yeshiva of the Lyubavitch Rebe and studied there untill 1997 and obtained the 1st degree of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.

In February 1997 he returned to Israel, married Chana and lived and taught in the Oz Meir Kolel and Galacha to the youth in Jerusalem.

In the January 1998 he came to Donetsk, Ukraine and taught there in the Ohr Avner School. His wife taught Hebrew.

In the April 1998 he returned to Israel where his first daughter was born.

In the August 1998 he returned to Donetsk and lived there one year.

In the August 1999 he moved to Tashkent, Uzbekistan and spent there 3 years teaching Hebrew and Jewish tradition in the Ohr Avner school. At the same time Dov Akselrot received the 2nd degree from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.

In the August 2002 he received the Chief Rabbinate of Israel Certificate.

In the December 2002 he moved to Cherkassy to be a rabbi.

In 2003 a Jewish kindergarten and a Ohr Avner school were opened and function untill now.

In 2005 he was elected the chief rabbi of the Cherkassy region and the Chairman of the Board of the Association of the Jewish Religious Communities And Organisations of the Cherkassy region.

Now Lives and works in Cherkassy, has 4 children.
