Rabbi of Kherson Yossef Itzhak Wolff
The chief rabbi of Kherson and the region Yossef Itzhak Wolff was born in 1972 in Kiryat Malachi, Israel.
Untill 13 he studied in the Kiryat Malachi heder and then untill 19 he studied in the yeshivas of Lud, Jerusalem and Kfar Chabad, Israel.
In 1991 he came to the USA to study in the Rabbinical college of America in Brooklyn, New York.
In 1993 he received smicha from the senior cleric of Israel - the Highest Sephard Rabbi Eliyachu Bakshi-Doron.
After receiving the title of rabbi the Lyubavitch Rebe sent Yossef Itzhak Wolff to the Jewish community of Kherson as a rabbi.
In 1995 Yossef Itzhak Wolff married Chaya Yosfin.
In 1998 rabbi Yossef Itzhak Wolff was elected the chief rabbi of Kherson and the Kherson region and the chairman of the Board of the Kherson Jewish community. Rabbi and his wife have 7 sons and 2 daughters.
