Community Programs

Charity dinners is the program created for the Jews on retirement, the poor and disabled.Every day these people get a delicious and kosher food.

Meals on Wheels - a program for those unable to move independently.Disabled people and bedridden patients receive dinners daily at home.

Shabbat meal - every Shabbat (Friday night) all the Jews of the community are invited to a festive meal with all Sabbath observance.

The Child program - twice a month the children of the Jewish community (up to 16 years) receive food packs.In addition, 2 times a year seasonal clothes and shoes are provided.

Care for The Sick program is the program to pay for medicines needed during treatment as well as paying visits and consultations (if carried out in clinics outside the city).

Funerals - Jewish community of Chernovtsy headed by the chairman of the community provides real help for families who lost relatives giving an opportunity to bury a Jew at a Jewish cemetery in compliance with all Jewish rituals.

Memory Program - the restoration of the old Jewish cemetery of Chernovtsy. A film was shot about the uniqueness of the cemetery and its restoration by our community, which contains many facts about the story of the cemetery. The film contains info of numbers of foreign currency accounts for those who wish to contribute to the noble cause of rebuilding graveyard and perpetuate the memory of our ancestors.
