January 27, Lviv will hold a memorial service and a requiem concert to mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
In the morning the participants of the funeral procession will lay wreaths at the monument to victims of the Lviv ghetto and hold interfaith prayers for those who were killed in the Valley of Death Yanovsky concentration camp.
By day the All-Ukrainian Jewish Charitable Foundation "Hesed-Arieh" will hold a ceremony in the Center of the Central Western European urban history "to remember the past for the future", and in the evening a memorial concert-requiem will be held at the Lviv Regional Philharmonic.
The organizers of the memorial events was also the International Center "Holocaust" named after Dr. A. Schwartz and Lviv Regional Charitable Organization "B'nai B'rith" Leopolis " named after E. Dombergera.
The chairman of the Lviv Regional State Administration Oleg Sinyutka, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy, the Honorary Consul of Israel in Ukraine Oleg Vishnyakov, as well as MPs and clerics all were in ivited to participate.
