Goodbye, Holiday Camp!

Четверг, 30. Июнь, 2011 - 8:13

The Holiday Camp is over. 40 students of the Krivoy Rog Jewish School were there during the first month. Many events made the children’s life there interesting and filled with joy.

On Mondays, the days of joy and blessings, Tatyana Romanyuk organized a competition named Make Your Friend Laugh. After that rebezn Miri Strassberg created with the children hand made things with blessings which the children took home with them.

The next day was creative as well. This was the day of charity and the children made zdaka boxes and decorated them on their own manner. One more topic of the day was the Merry Zoo and madrichim decided to add some Jewish traditions. The children drew animals and cut them out of paper and gathered them for the Noah’s arch. The story of Noah was told before that.

The June 22 was the Day of Remembrance. The day the World War Two began Tatyana Romanyuk told the children about the hard and scary war days, the hero children of the war and showed a video.

Thursday was the Day of Civil defense. Madrichim told the children what the civil defense is and made some topical competitions in the school and the school yard.

The week finished with a cocktail party. The children played, danced, sang, received diplomas and medals and saw many surprises. This day heard the words of gratitude from children and their parents to the madrichim, director, administration, nurses, kitcheners and all the stuff of the camp.

“hank you all! We are the first time in such camp and our son learned much new about the life of Jews in Krivoy Rog – said Krivokhizha – our niece will go to the first form this year to the Ohr Avner school and the stuff I saw here is really professional”.
