The city of Nikolaev is shrouded with the atmosphere of war, nevertheless, more than 200 Jews of all ages came to hear the prayer of Rosh Hashanah and the blasts of the shofar.

When people arrived for a special prayer of “Our Father”, a Jewish soldier came from the front to the synagogue and went to open the Ark of the Covenant to pray with everyone. This struck the hearts of each and left no eyes dry.
In the yard of the synagogues, there were large tables baring delicious treats, and the atmosphere was very elevated and optimistic.
