The highlight of the past two weeks was the festive marathon “From Lag B'Omer to Shavuot”. Each of the clubs was able to gather its participants at solemn meetings, prepare for the holiday and celebrate the Day of the Giving of the Torah according to all traditions.
Numerous culinary and creative workshops were organized. Children and their parents were cooking fruit kebabs in chocolate with matzo, milk cakes, made tablets with 10 commandments, took part in origami classes. Kids learned the history of the holiday and its main traditions. Ice cream party and traditional reading of the 10 commandments were held in the Central Choral Synagogue of Frankfurt “West End”.
Summing up the festive marathon “From Lag B’Omer to Shavuot” international online meeting “Shavuot 2022” was held. The event brought together the participants of the programs of JCC "Mazal Tov", Charitable Foundation "Hesed Michael", members of the community from Ukraine, Poland, Israel, Germany, USA, Austria and Turkey. Participants received a huge dose of positive emotions and congratulations from the guests. Despite the fact that members of the community today are scattered all around the world, they are still able to unite and celebrate Jewish holidays together.
