The mayor of Kharkov, Igor Terekhov, came to visit Rabbi Moshe Moskovich and thanked him for the constant help that the Jewish community provides to the city. The mayor watched the process of preparing humanitarian aid food packages for Shavuot. The Jewish community of Kharkov was very touched by his visit, since with everything happening around, Mayor schedule is extremely tight.
Mayor talked with cooks and volunteers, who work 24/7 helping to save lives. Igor was glad to meet Rabbi Moskovich, it brought back some good memories about his participation in the celebration of Hanukkah this year, when Igor Alexandrovich lit the menorah on the Pushkinskaya street and when the mayor came to congratulate Moskovich’s daughter on her wedding day only four month ago.
