Chairman of the Board of the Federation of Jewish communities of Ukraine Rabbi Mayer Stambler, came to the refugee camp in Warsaw, organized by the FJCU, to support everyone who escaped from terrible war zones. The rabbi heard the harrowing stories of people who were forced to leave everything they had: their homes, their communities, their lives.
All present jews took part in the ceremony of putting on tefillin and reciting prayers.
Now all families are safe and taken care of. The team of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine provides all kinds of support, including food, medical assistance, psychological and spiritual help.
The refugee camp project was organized jointly with the Jewish community "Chabad of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in Poland" in Warsaw, Chief Rabbi Shalom Dov Stambler, cousin of Meir Stambler.
