LagbaOmer is the holiday of Jewish unity, and its symbolism is being widely felt by the thousands of Ukrainian Jews celebrating the day in and outside of Ukraine during the war.
Chabad-Or Avner kindergarten in Odessa celebrated Lag B'Omer with traditional dances around the fire, amusing games and delicious treats.
The Jewish community of Zhytomyr celebrated Lag B'Omer with fun competitions, games and gifts for the children.
In Dnipro, at the "Beit Levanot" girls' pension celebration started with a traditional bonfire.
The boarding students, along with Jewish teachers and families who came to visit the girls on the eve of the holiday, were happy to dance, sing, celebrate the coming of the day, also known as the holiday of the love of Israel.
The next morning, all the girls participated in traditional Lag B'Omer celebration: they marched in the parade, played and participated in competitions and contests. Also, a traditional children's parade was held in honor of Lag B'Omer.
As always, Jewish educational institutions participated in the parade. The participants of the parade held colorful balloons and flags with readings to observe the mitzvot of the Torah and the mitzvot of the Rebbe of Lubavitch, and there were life-size dolls in Torah and charity costumes.
The parade set off in order to demonstrate its adherence to the commandment of "Love of Israel", the unity and solidarity of its community.
In honor of the Lag B'Omer holiday, festive events were held at the Beit Baruch Center and the Beit Reuven Synagogue in Kamianske city.
Members of Hesed Besht Charitable Foundation gathered to celebrate Lag B'Omer together. They sang songs, listened to readings and did an art therapy - a painting master class, in which each participant painted fire, nature, Ukrainian girls and Ukrainian symbols and wrote letters to the defenders of Ukraine.
Jewish communities of Zaporozhye and Lvov celebrated Lag B'Omer in a creative way - held art classes, in which they created thematic holiday paintings with the participants of the event.
