Thousand of families have been forced to flee their homes, carrying their children and whatever belongings, escaping from bombs and shelling. Many of them stayed in refugee camps, organized by FJCU.
It is customary to shoot bows and arrows on Lag BaOmer, so in refugee center in Warsaw we organized arrow creating workshops for kids. Children had a lot of fun. Adults enjoyed their evening with traditional live music and dancing.
A great bonfire took place in a refugee camp, located near Balaton lake.
Hundreds of refugees gathered to say prayers and celebrate through the night.
The bonfires that the followers of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai light are representative of the spiritual light that can be found within the mystical teachings of the Torah, and they are now an intrinsic part of Lag Ba'omer celebrations around the world.
Refugees had an opportunity to celebrate according to all traditions.
