Grand opening of JMC (Jewish Medical Center) at the “Menorah” center in Dnipro

Grand opening of large office of JMC (Jewish Medical Center) has taken place at the “Menorah” Center. It is a modern, multi-functional clinic fundamentally new for Ukraine's level and approach to the provision of medical services. Members of the Board of Trustees of the Community, leaders and activists of the Jewish revival, honorable guests from different countries of the world, patrons and philanthropists were invited to attend this grand opening.

The synagogue in the Lviv region will create a regional cultural center

The not functioning now Zholkvovskoy Synagogue (Lviv region) plans to create a regional cultural center. There will be several permanent museum exhibitions, including those devoted to the pre-existing large community.

Also, there will be a hall for cultural, artistic and educational activities. The project manager of COMUS told this to ZAXID.NET , whose experts are preparing the project of reconstruction of the synagogue in the framework of the project Comus. Experts are developing design documents, which provides for the restoration of buildings and arrangement of cultural and museum functions. By the end of February a feasibility study should be prepared.

22 Shvat – Yortsayt of Rebbetzin Chaya-Mushka

Today, after sunset is a very special day - the 22 of Shvat. On this day in 5748 (1988) Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson, the seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe's wife, passed away. The Rebbetzin family was a continuous chain of spiritual leaders. She was a granddaughter of the Rebbe Rashab and the daughter of the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Rayats.

People who grew up next to Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, were not just Jewish leaders, those were the giants of the spirit and dedication of the great intelligence. It was her father the Rebbe Rayats who trusted her with important assignments related to the underground network of Jewish schools in the revolutionary Russia. She accompanied him into exile to Kostroma.
