In the Hungarian camp for refugees, organized by the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine together with EMIH, the Brit Milah commandment was observed

The main Moel of Moldova and Ukraine, Rabbi Jakov Gaisenovich, held a ceremony of circumcision, during the prayer the child was given the name of Levi.

Congratulations to the Moskovsky family on their son's entry into the covenant of Abraham.

The light and beautiful holiday of Rosh Hashanah was celebrated at the"Nitsanim" Sunday school at the JCF "Hesed-Arieh"

The light and beautiful holiday of Rosh Hashanah was celebrated at the"Nitsanim" Sunday school at the JCF "Hesed-Arieh" in Lviv with fun and activities.

The school united whole families in a traditional celebration! Everyone, from small to large, took an active part. An interesting story about the shofar, traditional dances, festive songs, an interesting quiz - everything was very exciting.

And also, the holiday at the beginning of the new year fell on the same day as  the celebration of the Teacher’s Day. Therefore, each member of the large team warmly congratulated their favorite teachers.

A wonderful start to the year in Hesed Hana Charity Foundation/ CC Beit Graham, Krivyi Rih

Presently, the picturesque Carpathian mountains have become the venue for the "On the Wave" all-Ukrainian camp for the Jewish youth.

Under the “Conquer Your Own Summit” slogan 52 participants-representatives of different organizations and directions united with the all-Ukrainian team of Madrichot for the second year in a row.

This year the organizers of the event are the Hesed Hana Charity Foundation/ CC Beit Graham, Krivyi Rih.

Let us wish all the participants and the organization team to have a productive rest and conquer the toughest peaks!

Members of the Gadyach Jewish community celebrated the holiday of Rosh Hashanah near the grave of the righteous Alter Rebbe

This year, despite the situation in Ukraine, members of the Jewish community, together with Rabbi of Gadyach, Schneor Deutch, marked the holiday of Rosh Hashanah in Gadyach, near the grave of the righteous Alter Rebbe.

For those who could not join - festive boxes with food were sent. More than 300 gift boxes were received by the members of Jewish communities from Pryluki, Lokhvitsa, Myrgorod, Lubniv, Nizhyn, because everyone should have the opportunity to celebrate the holiday properly.

 

In the Jewish community of Dnipro a ceremony of Completion and Entry of a new Torah Scroll, written in merit of the Kaminetsk

New Seifer Tora was presented by the messengers of Lubavichesky Rebe, rabbis of different Ukrainian cities.

The ceremony was held in the grand Menorah Ballroom, and the guests were invited to write their own letter into the Torah Scroll, with help of rabbi Raven Margolin, the Head soifer of the National Sofrut Center of Ukraine.

A beautiful crown of special design was placed on the new Torah Scroll by  the rabbi of Dnipro, Shmuel Kaminetsky, and the rabbi of Zhytomyr, Shlomo Wilhelm. 

After the ceremony came the triumphant moment, when the new Seifer Torah was brought out from the festive hall, and placed under the wedding canopy of Chupah, to be carried triumphantly along the city streets.

Members of the Odessa Jewish community have celebrated Rosh Hashanah and are getting ready for Yom Kipur.

This year was different from all previous 30 years of the Jewish community existence: Odessa is living through the nightmare of anxiety, night curfew, families torn apart with men staying in Ukraine, and women and children fleeing abroad.

But against all odds, the members of the community tried to organize the celebration and make it as joyful as ever to show support and mend the broken hearts. 

For this purpose, thousands of families of the city and region were delivered festive food packages. 

The hotel was rented in a city center to house around 200 people and hundreds more gathered in the synagogue.
