Beit Chana International Humanitarian Pedagogical Institute

The Beit Chana International Humanitarian Pedagogical Institute  is the only Jewish higher education institution in the CIS allowing Jewish girls to get the profession of teacher and guarantees employment in the system of Jewish education. The college was created on September 11, 1995 at the initiative of Levy Levayev, the president of the Ohr Avner Chabad Lubavitch Fund. Today 170 girls not only from Ukraine but also from the CIS are studying in the college. About 450 graduates work in Jewish schools and are highly professional teachers. The College has the license to issue diplomas to the first educational qualification level of "bachelor". The college operates a system of distance studying allowing the girls already working in the Jewish education institutions to improve their professional level.

Modern material and technical base, highly qualified teachers, individual approach to each student, a high level of training graduates make the Beit Chana college the leader among all Jewish higher education institutions. All years of study students live in a full board basis, they are provided a comfortable dormitory, a five-time kosher food and have an opportunity to harmonious personal development. There are numerous clubs, a library, gym, internet cafe, student cafe. The Beit Chana college has created a unique computer center, where along with teaching the programs for use in the process of education in Jewish schools are developed. With improved communication system in college regular videoconferences with various countries around the world are held and students have the opportunity to attend lectures and take part in lessons of the most famous and respected teachers. The Beit Chana college receives major support from the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine, the Dnepropetrovsk Jewish community, the Ministry of Education.

Among its major tasks the college sees not only the education and teacher training but also the education of the future Jewish wives and mothers. The vast majority of students of the college made firm decisions to create their future families based on the Mitzvas and Jewish traditions. Each marriage of the college students or graduates become a significant event for the whole.

Upon completion of the college the graduates have the opportunity to participate in the Be Yahad program. They provide a comprehensive methodological support, conducted seminars and trainings.

The Beit Chana college is not only an excellent modern education in accordance with traditional Jewish upbringing but it also ensures future employment for Jewish girls.

The high level of education in the college is provided through the use of educational programs and techniques that are used in leading educational institutions of Ukraine, Israel, Europe and the USA.
