Before May, 9 in the premises of the Chabad organization of Kherson a traditional event dedicated to the 66th Anniversary of the Victory in World War Two took place. This year the event was dedicated to the city of Kherson and its heroes. The participants went to a virtual journey with the help of a video projector a took a walk through the streets, squares and parks of their native town. The children learned much new about the heroes of their city with whose names many streets are named. They also learned about the bravery of the Heroes of the Soviet Union P.A. Pokryshev and N.Z. Vydrigan and virtually visited the monument of the famous Kherson citizens: the heads of the Motherland Patriot organization Ilya Kylik and Nikolay Subbota, the monument of the Boys of the Karantinniy Island and the streets named after the divisions of the soldiers who saved Kherson from the Nazis: the 295th Infantry Division and the 49th Guards Division. Other memorial places were also visited. During the story about the patriot heroes a tangible silence was felt in the hall. The children listened to the story of the War with great interest and attention.
And all the children of the school visited their veterans and congratulated them with this memorial day.
