In 2002 the first in CIS unique home for the elderly for a hundred places was open and named Beit Baruch. Beit Baruch Home for the elderly was built by the Board of Trustees of Dnepropetrovsk Jewish Community and Boston Jewish community. The three floor renovated building is equipped with everything necessary for comfortable living of old single people. In Beit Baruch feeding, health care, leisure and cultural activities are organized at the highest level. The dwellers are provided with clothing and footwear, medicines, professional psychologists and social workers are always near. The community is trying to do everything possible to the lonely. People live here a dignified life in comfortable rooms with TV and telephone, bathroom, comfortable furniture and everything necessary for a normal life. Board of Trustees of the community took responsibility for a decent life of single Jews. Many programs are functioning in cooperation with the Boston Jewish community, e.g. health and medical rehabilitation.
At Beit Baruch new programs and activities constantly open up. In late 2003 a synagogue was opened (Sefer Torah was given to by the President of the community G. Bogolyubov and antique crown is the gift of Kolomoisky I).
Since 2004 with the support of the Boston community a gym began functioning and later a fitness center. Great advice was given to Beit Baruch by a Harvard University professor L. Lifshitz during his three-month visit to Dnepropetrvsk in 2005. On the 60th anniversary of Victory in the World War II veterans living in the house received a gift from the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Community - a comfortable minibus.
Residents of Beit Baruch are actively involved in the life of Jewish community including all festivals and events. Students of the Jewish school № 144 and Beit Chana International Institute, Beit Tsindliht Child Education Center staff and leading creative teams of Dnepropetrovsk visit them often.

Within the Beit Baruch Charity Center project a network of soup kitchens in which elderly people in need receive free kosher meals is organized. For many of them it is the only way to get hot meals. People come to the community soup kitchens and for those who can not get to the dining rooms a delivery of meals right at home is organized. In the center of cultural work and recreational programs for the elderly special activities and lectures and meetings constantly take place. The Beit Baruch Choir of veterans is becoming increasingly popular. His repertoire includes songs in Ukrainian, Hebrew, Yiddish, English and Russian languages. The Choir is always invited to all the holidays and major events of the Jewish community.
For those in the crisis and need of immediate help not provided by the charitable programs the Emergency Help Foundation operates. Every day dozens of people who are in dire need and require expensive medical treatment and medications or help in repair the crumbling housing receive immediate financial support. Thanks to the work of the Foundation the lives of hundreds of desperate people were literally saved and dozens of housing were repaired.
