Until 2003 only one Jewish full day care nursery worked in Dnipropetrovsk in the heart of the city, the Gogol street. This establishment was very popular and many parents wanted to send their children to the nursery but were rejected. After it became clear that the city lacks one more Jewish kindergarten a successful entrepreneur Viktor Pinchuk made possible the creation of a big children's educational center in 2003.This center was named Beit Zindlicht after the grandparents of Viktor Pinchuk Fanya and Yosif Zindlicht. Viktor Pinchuk’s mother actively participates in the life of the center and helps it in many ways.

Now the Ilana kindergarten receives children under two years and older children learn in the Beit Zindlicht Center.

Beit Zindlicht is the most advanced pre-school institution.In the garden more than 100 children of 2-6 years learn in six groups.One group, Heder, with in-depth study of Jewish traditions takes the children whose parents want to give them a traditional Jewish education.At the Beit Zindlicht Center unique methods of early childhood care and education are implemented and there is a modern computer center.Much attention is paid to linguistic and aesthetic development of children. Outdoor activities of children in the fresh air is made possible due to a modern children's recreational and developmental complex.This playground and park are the gift of the Board of Trustees member Uri Leiber and his wife Basia.
