FJCU is giving assistance to the refugees from the war zone.
There are many children, women, ill people and people with limited mobility among those evacuated and placed in the Jewish communities of Ukrainian cities. With the support of the FJCU, the country's synagogues have been converted into volunteer centers that provide help to hundreds of refugees every day whose families fled shelling in Mariupol, Severodonetsk, Izyum, Kharkiv, Bucha and other cities.
The displaced people are met, provided with places to sleep, with food, and personal hygiene products. Specialists provide the necessary psychological assistance.
Since the beginning of the war, Jewish communities have hosted more than 5,000 refugees throughout Ukraine.
Together we will overcome!
