EVACUATION OF CIVILIANS

The Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine provides support to all those suffering from the war in Ukraine - refugees are safely evacuated to Poland, Hungary, Moldova and Western Ukraine.

This opportunity is given not only to the Jews, but also to anyone in need.

Internally displaced persons are provided with sleeping places, hot meals. If  necessary, medical support and assistance is provided: the supply of medicines, consultations of specialists.

Thanks to the active work of the contact center, more than 30,000 people have been successfully evacuated by trains and buses since the beginning of the war.

Evacuation is carried out from different hot spots of Ukraine. The evacuational brigade is formed to help those with limited mobility.

Among those rescued are families with more than 2 children, elderly people, residents of the destroyed areas of the Kiev region, Kharkiv region, East and South of Ukraine.

The Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine, together with the STL Foundation (led by Dan Yisroel Makogon), the Jewish Medical Center "JMC" and the Jewish community of Dnipro organized the evacuation of people with limited mobility who require special conditions for their relocation.

A specialized mobile brigade was formed for these needs, which helped thirty-nine disabled people, having serious health issues, including refugees from the war zones, who could be transported to Dnipro. They were met by the refugee reception centers, accommodated there for several days, and then evacuated by train to the border of Ukraine , where they had a chance to cross the border.

For this group, places on the train with increased comfort were organized, with each person getting a separate bed, taking into account limited abilities and old age.
