Rabbi of Sevastopol' Binyamin Wolff

Rabbi Binyami Wolff came to Sevastopol' on invitation of the Jewish religious community of traditional Judaism in March 2004.

Rabbi Wolff is 32, he finished 2 yeshivas in Israel and a religious university in New York, USA.

Rabbi Wolff is a citizen of Irael, has 3 children and is the representative of the famous religious dynasty. His father Berke Wolff was one of the most influential people in Israel, director of yeshivas network, builder of the Jewish religious settlements. His brother Abraham Wolff is now the chief rabbi of Odessa and South Ukraine, brother Yossef - the chief rabbi of Kherson and the Kherson region. In March 2004 the Chief Rabbinate of Ukraine appointed  Binyamin Wolff the chief rabbi of Sevastopol'.

 In September 2004 rabbi Wolff established the Chabad Non-government Educational Association with a kindergarten and school. The premises were repaired and kosher feeding of children was organised.

In result of the rabbi's efforts a site for Jewish cemetery was obtained on the territory of the city cemetery.

Today the women mikva is in the process of construction and efforts are applied to obtain a site for construction of a synagogue in the centre of the city.
